Customer Case: Custom-Made Liners for KYC Japan

Customer Background

KYC is a well-established Japanese manufacturer specializing in concrete mixing and construction equipment, with a strong presence in both the domestic Japanese market and Southeast Asia. Their equipment is widely used in urban infrastructure, road paving, and batching plant operations.
KYC is known for its strict quality standards and “zero-defect” policy, particularly for core components. Every part must meet high requirements for performance, dimensional accuracy, and flawless surface finish.

Product Specification

To meet the high standards set by KYC, Haitian Heavy Industry provided high-performance mixer liners with outstanding wear resistance, heat resistance, and corrosion resistance. These liners are specially designed for mixing equipment and are capable of delivering long-term, stable performance under harsh working conditions.

The key features of Haitian’s custom-engineered liner solution include:

Material: Made from special HP-8F high-chromium alloy, treated with a quenching and tempering process. The surface hardness reaches HS79.2, providing over 2.5 times the wear resistance of standard materials.

Surface Treatment: Finished with an 8-step precision polishing process and coated with a nano-ceramic anti-corrosion layer, ensuring a smooth surface and excellent corrosion resistance.

Dimensional Accuracy: Key mounting surfaces are verified using optical scanning systems, ensuring micron-level tolerance control for perfect compatibility with KYC’s high-precision assembly standards.

 Production Process

Drawing Review: Haitian engineers worked closely with KYC’s technical team to verify assembly tolerances and key fit surfaces, using 3D modeling for simulated assembly analysis.

Mold Development: CNC-machined metal molds were produced based on approved drawings to ensure high dimensional precision.

Casting: Automated molding and pouring were conducted on a DISA vertical molding line, ensuring consistent structure and compactness.

Heat Treatment: Double tempering was carried out in a fully automated induction furnace to enhance wear resistance and toughness.

Machining: CNC finishing of all critical mounting surfaces, achieving ±0.01 mm accuracy.

Surface Treatment: Multi-stage mechanical grinding followed by nano-ceramic coating for corrosion and impact resistance.

Final Inspection: Chemical composition analysis, hardness testing, penetrant testing (PT), dimensional rechecks, and surface quality inspection before shipment.

 Customer Validation

Prior to shipment, KYC’s engineering team visited Haitian’s factory for on-site inspection. Key validation points included:

Dimensional Consistency: All mounting holes and critical surfaces were measured using CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), fully meeting tolerance requirements

Surface Quality: No cracks, burrs, or cold shuts were found during full batch inspection

Assembly Simulation: A trial fit-up was performed on a mock-up platform to ensure proper alignment without interference

Documentation Compliance: All required reports—including inspection data, material certificates, and heat treatment records—were complete and verified.
