Digital Transformation Training

On August 20, an atmosphere of anticipation and innovation filled the air in Hefei. Nearly 200 representatives from the equipment manufacturing industry across 16 cities in the province, digital transformation service providers, and relevant officials from the Industry and Information Technology Bureau gathered to attend the 2024 Anhui Province Equipment  Manufacturing Industry Digital Transformation Training Program, with a shared passion for exploring and embracing digital transformation.

The morning sessions focused on the fundamentals of digital transformation, successful case studies, and the challenges   faced in this journey. The guest speakers used vivid language and rich examples to show the attending entrepreneurs how  digital transformation is driving a global revolution in manufacturing and its immense potential for enhancing competitiveness, optimizing resource allocation, and reducing operational costs.

In the afternoon, three speakers from different companies shared their valuable experiences and insights on digital transformation.

First, Xu Changyu, Director of the Information Center at Anhui Quanchai Power Co., Ltd., delivered a presentation on "Digital Factory Project Construction for Engine Enterprises." He detailed Quanchai Power's exploration and practices in building a digital factory, including the introduction of advanced production management systems, real-time collection and analysis of production data, and the use of big data technology to optimize production processes and improve efficiency. Xu's presentation left the entrepreneurs deeply impressed by the transformative impact of digital transformation on traditional engine manufacturing companies.

Following this, Song Huanmin, Chief Information Officer of Anhui Huanxin Group Co., Ltd., gave a keynote speech titled "Huanxin Group's Digital Transformation." He shared the group’s success in building a digital supply chain management system that seamlessly connects suppliers and customers, greatly enhancing the responsiveness and coordination efficiency of the supply chain. Song's presentation highlighted the vast potential of digital transformation in boosting overall operational efficiency for equipment manufacturing companies.

Finally, Tao Heping, Project Manager at Haitian Heavy Industry Technology Development Co., Ltd., presented on "Planning and Application Practices of Intelligent Manufacturing in Engineering Machinery." He analyzed the unique challenges and opportunities in intelligent manufacturing within the engineering machinery sector and detailed Haitian Heavy Industry's plans and implementation paths for intelligent manufacturing. His presentation provided participants with a deeper understanding of intelligent manufacturing and inspired them to imagine the limitless possibilities of future smart factory transformations.

After the insightful presentations, the training program included an interactive Q&A session. Participants eagerly posed questions about the challenges and uncertainties they faced in their digital transformation journeys, and the speakers patiently answered each query, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere.

Through this training program, participants not only gained theoretical knowledge about digital transformation but also learned valuable lessons from real-world case studies. They expressed that the training strengthened their confidence and determination in pursuing digital transformation and clarified the future direction for their companies' development.

Looking ahead, Anhui Province’s equipment manufacturing industry will continue to move forward resolutely on the path of digital transformation. We believe that in the near future, more companies will follow in the footsteps of Quanchai Power, Huanxin Group, and Haitian Heavy Industry, achieving leaps in production efficiency, product quality, and market competitiveness through digital transformation.
